Dane Rauschenberg

Dane Rauschenberg is an extreme athlete, speaker and author. His seminars and speeches are known as powerful, passionate, engaging and above everything, encouraging. His first book, See Dane Run has been a surprise breakout hit for both professional runners and those outside the sport. It empowers people to set goals for themselves and use their passion and strength to reach those goals in plausible ways.

In 2006, Rauschenberg was a virtual unknown in marathon running. In the space of one year, this novice runner rose to become a recognized name in the sport and a powerful voice of encouragement and self empowerment. While working a full-time job in Washington D.C., Rauschenberg ran 52 marathons on 52 consecutive weekends. During this year of record breaking running, he also raised over $44,000 for the Mobile, Alabama chapter of L'Arche, an organization which benefits the developmentally disabled. He did all of this while maintaining his full time job and without the benefit of sponsorship.

Having accomplished this goal, Rauschenberg realized that the previous direction he’d chosen for his life was not offering him enough and knew he wanted more. His career path took a sharp right turn and he went from offices and corporate meetings to trails and races around the globe.  Dane had discovered that people were seeking the voice of an inspirational, humorous, encouraging yet normal guy who (through sheer force of will) happened to accomplish what many held to be impossible. It was then that he decided to leave the corporate world behind and branch out into uncharted territory in the running world. Dane’s new goal was to spend his life encouraging others.

Don’t think that Dane settled down to a ‘simple’ life of motivational speaking though. In 2010 Dane ran the American Odyssey Relay from Gettysburg, PA to Washington DC. Normally run by 12-person teams, Dane ran the entire 202 mile race in just over 50 hours. He’s also continued to run marathons on almost a weekly basis along with his speaking and book signings.

Dane continues to be a driving force in the running world with expert articles across the internet and a rabid fan base that has proven that they will follow him almost anywhere. Literally!

Filled with energy, emotion and impact, his speaking engagements have enlightened and encouraged people across the country and around the world to reach for their goals in any way possible. Far beyond just running and marathons, Rauschenberg’s message resonates in a world where people are daily working to carve out their own place in this world.

Dane Rauschenberg currently lives in Salt Lake City. He runs and designs marathons around his speaking schedule and his book, See Dane Run, is currently available at his website, www.seedanerun.com.
